BOLD HEART SUMMER SERIES RULES 2008 1. The Summer Series finals will be held Sept 14th. At the Westridge Equine Center. There will be a minimum of 500.00 added money to the finals. The finals will be run as a 4D Open, 3D Youth and Senior division. And a Pee Wee division prizes to all peewees. The finals entrees will be mailed on or by Sept 3rd. They will be due back by Sept 9th. Entries will be closed with NO EXCEPTIONS!! When the draw is done. 2. Participants must run 5 times on the same horse on or by Aug 30th. At any of the participating Arenas. In the event a horse is injured a substitution may be made ONLY with a certified vet letter. Which will be verified by the Summer Series Committee. No refunds will be made. 3. Riders must pay their membership dues before any runs will count towards the Summer Series Finals. This means if you run say May 14th at Salem Arena and you don't join that night your run will not count. We will not go back and count runs that you where not a member at that time. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Membership runs from Jan. 1st - Dec 31st. 4. The Pee Wee class will be 10 and under as of Jan 1st. The Youth is 16 and under as of Jan 1st. The Senior Division is 40 and over as of Jan 1st. Children 10 and under must choose to run Pee Wee or Youth. They can not run both. Once they compete as a Youth they can no longer compete as a Pee Wee. 5. The Summer Series is targeted as family competition. Therefore, any behavior damaging to the organization will not be tolerated and may be grounds for disqualification. Behavior such as and not limited to, abuse of a horse or another individual, competing under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or any type of cheating. Verbal abuse of the host arena personnel or Summer Series committee. 6. Any questions or complaints can be directed to Lori Kjose (605) 356-3128 home or (605) 670-2860 cell. Remember these Arenas are taking time out of their schedule to let you come and ride. These people work hard to have the runs. So remember to thank them and help by picking up around your area. Let's all have a fun year. And remember 1 right 2 lefts or 2 lefts 1 right.

the 1st Division, 30% to the 2nd Division (1 second off fastest time), and 20%

a 4-D payout, the total jackpotted entry fees of a class is to be divided 35% to
the 1st Division, 30% to the 2nd Division a ½ second off the fastest time, 20%
to the 3rd Division a 1 second off the fastest time, and 15% to the 4th Division
2 second or more off the fastest time.
